Abstract
Abstract Introduction of the 4,5-bridged five-membered ring to quinazoline derivatives enhanced the rate of the acid-catalized hydrolysis of the quinazoline ring in the derivatives due to a steric effect caused by the presence of the bridged ring. This steric effect also reflected in their pKa values and polarografic half-wave potentials.
