Abstract
1. Complexes of the RCN·M(CO)5 type (where M=Cr, Mo, and W) are formed during the photochemical reaction of group VI metal carbonyls with arene-containing nitriles, whereas (CO)3Cr·Ph(CH2)nCN complexes with coordination in the arene nucleus (n=0–3) are obtained during the thermal reaction in the case of chromium. 2. Binuclear complexes containing molybdenum and tungsten attached to a common organic ligand were obtained by the reaction of the Ar(CH2)3CN· W(CO)5 complexes with Py3Mo(CO)3. 3. The photochemical transformations of the obtained chromium tricarbonyl π complexes of the eyanoalkylbenzenes were studied.
