Abstract
The integral reaction probability for the reaction of hot hydrogen atoms wilh CH3Cl. H*+CH3Cl→-HCl+CH3, has been determined as a function of the initial energy of the H atoms. The apparent threshold energy for the reaction. which is expected to be higher than the true threshold, is 47 ± 14 kJ mol−1.
