Abstract
Chemistry of β-aminocrotononitrile is well documented in the literature. However, systematic study on its acylation reaction with acid chlorides and its immense potential in synthesis has not yet been reported as review articles. This short review describes reaction and regiopreference of β-aminocrotononitrile when reacted with acid chlorides in presence of an organic base.
