Abstract
I hope within this paper to offer a perspective both as a Social Services Manager and Chairperson of case conference. This will include comment on research and the influence on practice, what are the dilemmas in considering thresholds for intervention, how has this debate impacted on child protection within the Craigavon and Banbridge Community Health and Social Services Trust and what are the issues remaining to be addressed.
