Abstract

Sources for the history of Lębork in the resources of the State Archives in Gdańsk – part II (files after 1945) After the end of hostilities in 1945, Lębork was incorporated into Poland and became the seat of the district. Documentation created in the years 1945–1970 regarding Lębork and the Lębork district is located in the State Archives in Gdańsk. The most important materials include the files of the then administration, i.e. the Municipal Board and the Municipal National Council, the District Office and the Presidium of the District National Council. In addition, the APG also contains files of political parties: PPR, PPS, PZPR and youth organizations: ZMP, ZMS and ZMW. Very interesting are the maps from the District Office of Geodesy and Agricultural Facilities in Lębork regarding Lębork and several dozen towns in the Lębork district, prepared in the years 1838–1943.
