Abstract
Abstract About 40 kilometers cast of Kiruna, close to the mountain of Rautusakara, a quartzite formation is met with. The southern part of this formation and its surrounding rocks have been investigated. Especially the basal parts of the quartzite are described, further the age-relation and the tectonics are discussed, the latter also in view of airborne magnetics.
