Abstract

McClennen is Ohio Board of Regents Eminent Scholar in Moral and Social Philosophy, and Senior Research Fellow in the Social Philosophy and Policy Center, at Bowling Green State University. He is editor of Theory and Decision and a member of the editorial boards of Constitutional Political Economy and Economics and Philosophy. His major research interests include decision and game theory, historical and contemporary ethics, and social and political philosophy.The reviewers are both affiliated with the Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Haslam is a graduate student with interests in intertemporal choice and self-control, having recently completed a chapter on the latter topic (with G. Ainslie) which is to appear in Choice Over Time (Edited by G. Loewenstein and J. Elster, published by the Russell Sage Foundation). Baron is a Professor with interests in normative, descriptive and prescriptive approaches to decision making and moral judgment; he is the author of Thinking and Deciding (Cambridge University Press, 1988).
