Abstract
Kinetic parameters for the IMDAF reaction of 1b and 2b were compared: k( lb)/k( 2b = 60. The activation parameters for the cyclization of 1b, ΔH≠ = 83.9 kJ/mol and ΔS≠ = −71.7j/(mol.K), do not suggest an entropic basis for acceleration.
