Abstract

The rarefied gas flow through a slit and channel of finite length is presented as a benchmark problem. Computation of gas flow rate and flow field through a slit and channel of finite length has been carried out in case of a large pressure difference in a wide range of gas rarefaction. We used the direct simulation Monte Carlo method based on the majorant frequency scheme. Input and output parameters in computation correspond to parameters of the benchmark problem. A comparison of results in solving this problem obtained by various methods has been made and recommendations for future research prospective have been proposed.
