Abstract

The simplest compound picture of a one-dimensional string model and a fireball model is discussed in this paper. The rapidity and squared transverse momentum distributions of charged particles in pion-proton interactions at high energy are described by the simplest compound picture. The calculated results are in agreement with the experimental data of ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}p$ interactions at $250\mathrm{GeV}/c.$ It is shown that, in the rest frame of the fireball, the particles present isotropic emission and three components of momentum can be regarded as the Gaussian type, having the same width.
