Abstract
Abstract A colorimetric reaction, involving the cerium III-alizarin complexan reagent, is described for the simple, semiquantitative determination of excess amounts of fluoride. A method is outlined that may be used in the field for the determination of fluoride in plants in excess of 40 ppm.
