Abstract
The total nitrogens in tobacco samples were determined by an element analyzer, the recoveries of this method for different types of tobacco leaves and cigarette samples were investigated, the results were compared with those determined by continuous flow analyzer. The results showed that: 1) There was no significant difference between the detection results by elemental analysis method and continuous flow analysis method; 2) The repeatability and reproducibility of elemental analysis method were good, and the recovery of standard addition ranged from 95% to 103%.
