Abstract

This paper introduces a rapid way of designing substrate integrated waveguide filters based on the software Wasp-Net. First, it uses the doublesided offset circular post coupled filter model in Wasp-Net to realize the core waveguide model in SIW filter. Second, the waveguide-microstrip transition is designed and tuned to reach minimum return loss. Finally, waveguide, transition part and blank SIW cavity are combined and tuned to realize the completed form which satisfies the requirements. Experimental results indicate −6dB return loss in passband of 5.08GHz and −70dB attenuation in stopband, satisfying the design requirement.
