Abstract

Embryo implantation requires a receptive endometrium under the influence of tightly regulated endocrine signaling from both the embryo and the corpus luteum. Research has found that after IVF, additional support for the endometrium with exogenous progesterone improves implantation and subsequent live birth rates. The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential benefit of a short acting GnRH agonist (GnRHa), leuprolide acetate, for support of the luteal phase endometrium prior to embryo implantation in IVF.
