Abstract

Derives a bosonic and fermionic field theory for randomly directed polymers. The bosonic field theory needs replicas and it is shown that the problem can be mapped in an O(n) symmetric Lagrangian with an attractive phi 4 term. The fermionic field theory introduces alternatively anticommutating fields and a supersymmetric Lagrangian is derived for the randomly directed polymer.
