Abstract

Raman Induced Phase Conjugation Spectroscopy (R1PCS) is a new form of Coherent Raman Spectroscopy (CRS) using non-degenerate four-wave mixing in a Phase conjugation (PC) geometry. With this technique one can measure complete Raman spectra of transparent media. We have used this technique to obtain Raman spectra of benzene in the vicinity of 992 cm−1 Raman mode. We have also analysed these spectra to determine the ratio of the resonant and nonresonant components of the third-order nonlinear susceptibility.
