Abstract

Raman Induced Phase Conjugation (RIPC), a form of four wave mixing, is used to measure the ratio of the resonant and non-resonant components of the third order nonlinear susceptibilities of some derivatives of benzene. This is done by using the dependence of the RIPC spectral shapes on these parameters. A computer code which models RIPC spectra is used to fit theoretical spectra to those obtained in experiment.
