Abstract

Lithium formate monohydrate (FLMH) has been studied by Raman spectroscopy and infrared transmittance. The Raman spectra have been measured in the temperature range 10 to 490 K. The low temperature Raman spectra showed a temperature dependence of the intensities of the modes observed in the Z(XX)Y polarisation with a minimum at 220 K. The high temperature Raman spectra revealed an order-disorder phase transition related to the water molecules.
