Abstract
Menna and I have just had an enjoyable evening at the British Journal of Nursing Achievement Awards. It is good to see nurses who are doing high-quality work which makes such a positive difference to patient care being nationally recognized. It was exactly one year ago at the previous BJN Awards that Menna and I discussed the possibility of a journal for healthcare assistants and assistant practitioners with Mark Allen, and here we are on our third issue!
