Abstract

A four-year campaign of rainfall rate and rain-induced slant-path attenuation measurements was conducted on four satellite beacon links located in the equatorial, tropical and subtropical regions of Brazil. The cumulative distributions of attenuation derived from the measured data are presented and compared with those obtained with existing prediction methods.
