Abstract
A radon survey in soil as well as in outdoors and indoors was carried out in Mexico City in order to correlate natural radioactivity concentrations with local environment. Monitoring was made using LR 115 type II track detectors and different detection devices geometries. Results for indoor and outdoor radon concentrations were quite comparable with values lower than 100 Bq/m 3 . Radon concentration in soil was dependent on the geological subsoil characteristics.
