Abstract
In a study of morphological modifications of primary visual cortex in monkeys deprived, at birth, in one eye by lid suture, sections of area 17 were prepared by the rapid Golgi method combined with radioautography of transsynaptic transport of labeled amino acids following intraocular injection. The morphology of neurons in layer IV could be compared according to their innervation from the open or closed eye in the same animal.
