Abstract

AbstractThe photocatalytic C(sp2)−H functionalization of quinoxaline derivatives using potassium iodide as photoredox‐mediators has been described. The lower price of potassium iodide compared to standard photocatalysts, readily available substrates, and environmental solvent constitute make this method cost‐effective and interesting. A catalytic amount of KI is applied to the direct activation of C−H bonds for the construction of heterocyclic compound. This system has simple operation, the characteristics of easy to obtain raw materials, high yield and excellent substrate adaptability provide a new method for the synthesis of C2 substituent quinoxalines.
