Abstract
Branching ratios for radiative kaon capture at rest on both the proton and deuteron are being measured at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Experiment 811. Branching ratios for the weak radiative decays of the Σ + and Λ are being measured as well. A new NaI(T1) detector was developed for the radiative capture experiments which has achieved resolution of 1.5% FWHM at 129 MeV. Preliminary results on the radiative capture reactions ϱ( K −, γ) Λ or Σ o are presented, as well as a progress report on the other reactions.
