Abstract

Professor A R Mackintosh, in Physics Bulletin March 1975, rightly criticizes the clarity of the final paragraph of my letter (January 1975). In wishing to contrast the attitudes of the pro and antinuclear movements, I had assumed that most readers of Physics Bulletin would be familiar with the arguments on both sides since these are often discussed in the columns of New Scientist, Science and Nature, as well as in the national press.
