Abstract

The radiation method has been employed for the modification of the surface of vascular prostheses by means of acrylamide. As a result of the treatment, the tightness of the prosthesis walls was improved as well as an increase of surface hydrophilicity. Upon autoclaving, stable binding of polyacrylamide to prostheses is achieved.
