Abstract

Oligocarbonate methacrylates (OCM) have been used in mixtures with oligoester methacrylates (MDPh) to reduce the irradiation dose with 60Co sources and electron accelerators. Experimental results show that the decisive factor influencing the polymerization rate of the systems is the length of the OCM oligomeric block, as well as its concentration. Given particular amounts of MDPh mixed with the oligocarbonate methacrylate, the microhardness index for coatings exceeds the corresponding index for films based on OCM.
