Abstract
Abstract The noise component in digitized signal data greatly affects the result of numerical waveform processings. The effectiveness of the smoothing spline method has been examined by obtaining the distributions of calculated rise-time value. During the comparison of the distributions with the Savitzky–Golay method, the better suppression of the noise component was observed by applying the smoothing spline method.
