Abstract
Simple tools such as retroreflecting mirrors mounted on a pair of compasses, target rings and large pinholes allow quick alignment of interferometric equipment. Calibration against high-precision goniometers outside the interferometric unit is possible. A quantitative discussion of accuracy is provided.
