Abstract

In order to find out the necessary information about the problems or causes of dento-alveolar anomalies the survey of the population always remains relevant. We conducted a survey of the population to obtain the necessary information, which is of interest not only to orthodontists, but also other specialties in dentistry. We administered a survey to 850 patients. Each questionnaire contained 10 questions about the organization of dental care and the prevention of dentoalveolar pathologies. The purpose of the survey was to find out who needs orthodontic treatment of orthodontic anomalies, as well as how to pay for treatment. The results of the survey, we found significant reasons for the spread of anomalies in the maxillofacial system. This study showed the effectiveness of our questionnaire demand scheme. Those who need orthodontic treatment: children from 7 to 14 years old are 68.9%, and from 15 to 25 years old are 31.1% in total. Of these, 30.6% were males and 69.4% were females. Schoolchildren 70%, university students 16.2%, employees 13.8%. The survey revealed the following type of payment: through MHIF - 55%; installments for the entire period of treatment would suit 39%, inclined to pay the entire amount ready to only 6%. Our analysis showed the reasons for the appeal of citizens to dental clinics for medical help were: referral of a pediatrician - 12%, dental disease - 36.2%, diseases of the oral mucosa - 9.1%, otolaryngologist - 12.6%, parents' initiative - 30.1%. The study revealed that a large number of respondents in the regions turned to a dentist of a therapeutic specialty as well as an orthodontist according to their desire. The age of the vast majority of children and adolescents who applied was 8-14 years old. Doctors of other specialties do not always pay attention to the presence of dentoalveolar deviations and do not refer to the orthodontist. Meanwhile, it is at an early age that by eliminating harmful floods, normalizing nasal (basic) breathing, normalizing food, and teaching oral hygiene, it is possible to prevent the development of caries and dental anomalies in children or significantly reduce their level. Therefore, the results of our study are published in the results of the article.
