Abstract
We study the r-process nucleosynthesis in Type II supernovae in view of new astronomical data of metal-deficient stars, new nuclear reaction data, and theoretical modeling of neutrino-driven winds. High entropy problem and neutrino interaction problem are discussed in order to resolve them and to look for appropriate physical condition for successul r-process. The role of nuclear reactions on neutron-rich unstable nuclei are discussed. Theoretical modeling of compactness of remnant neutron star and its effects on r-process are studied critically. Application to nuclear cosmochronometer is reviewed.
