Abstract

This article is a transcription of Queer Women's Performance Symposium, an event organized by artist Moynan King in July 2011. The symposium initiated a conversation on the lack of resources for queer women creators, the necessity for a discourse on queer women's performance, and the lexical gap in terminology for queer performers. The event was an opportunity not only to identify barriers, but also to celebrate the accomplishments of a vibrant theatre community.
