Abstract

The title above is, of course, merely a mnemonic for the nerves of the sacral and coccygeal plexus with two roots (QPEA—nerves to Quadratus femoris and Pyriformis, nervi Erigentes and the nerves to the Anal musculature). It comes from one of my favourite books: Irving's Anatomy Mnemonics by Alistair Smith (1939), dedicated “to those whose stumbling feet find the anatomical pathway difficult…”. Since it went into four editions, it must have been of some value.
