Abstract

This article derives from the author's master's thesis and presents the results of the cinematographic analysis-criticism of the film “Peixe”. The objective is to investigate how its visual, significance and symbolic layers configure it as a communicative tool of resistance to heteronorms. As the scales of the animal that from a distance seem integrated to its silhouette, but with an approximate look reveal its dimensions, the layers of investigation on the cinematographic work intend to reveal what at first sight is understood as a reflection of a single source through a look attentive to its various surfaces of meanings.
