Abstract
Colatan polyphenols are available in sufficient quantity. They meet the expected future needs of glue and binder producers for a raw material enabling them to satisfy the requirements for a low fuming moisture resistant chipboard and medium density fibreboards (MDF) binders. The development of such glue systems using Colatan as a sole binder or as a binder additive by the phenolic and amino resin producers has already begun, and promises a bright future for Colatan.
