Abstract

A group of partial differential equations is developed and its solutions are given to describe the quasitemperature distribution in a shocked energetic molecular solid composed of large organic molecules. The numerical calculation indicates that the time of the phonon bath arriving at the final equilibrium temperature is significantly shorter than the time of the vibrational bath arriving at the final equilibrium temperature.
