Abstract

Abstract Two-parameter energy spectra of the outgoing protons in the d(p, 2p)n reaction have been collected at 11 angle pairs for an incident proton beam energy of 100 MeV. For angle separations close to 88.5° — the free proton-proton scattering angle — a spectator model calculation predicts two-parameter cross sections d 3 σ/dΩ 1 d Ω 2 d E 1 which agree in shape with those measured, but which are high by a factor of about 1.5. A Chew-Low extrapolation of the data has been performed. The cross sections are compared with results at other incident energies.
