Abstract
The new Polish quarantine list has been operative since 1995. It consists of two parts: list A comprises organisms prohibited for import; list B consists of plants, plant products and harmful articles and organisms whose import is prohibited. Some of the pests in list A have occurred in Poland. Methods of controlling these species are presented in this paper.
