Abstract
This study started with the idea that the theoretical rationality of taekwondo training within Energy (氣) flow could be found in quantum theory. This study interprets Energy (氣) flow and taekwondo training as macrocosm and microcosm in quantum theory respectively, as the most fundamental ideology for rational reasoning. It is concluded as follows: Quantum theory is the basis that theorizes the microscopic world with physical experiments and formulas of natural philosophy. Under the theory, all infinite things in the universe are made up of particles and waves, and the ultimate truth of the enormous universe is explained with the “uncertainty theory” based on the “duality of matter.” In other words, with this theory, it is proved that all things in the universe have duality and that in turn all things show uncertainty. Strictly speaking, taekwondo, as a traditional practice based on the infinite possibility of the universe, goes beyond just the visible value of physical training focusing on senses, but pursues to train both bodies and spirits towards an intangible ideal-the ultimate existence of all things in nature. In this process, taekwondo embraces the essence that performs the duty of the cosmological enormous ego (human nature). Therefore, taekwondo training within Energy (氣) flow contains an noble, instinctive act of returning to the ultimate origin, the Great Void (太虛).
