Abstract
Theliquid phase of quantum-confined electron-hole plasma is observed in a type-II GaAs/AlAs short-period quantum-well wire superlattice grown on a high-index (311) GaAs substrate surface. This superlattice system is the first low-dimensional structure to support the condensation or electron-hole droplets as is evidenced by the characteristic properties or photoluminescence spectra
