Abstract

The Full Spectrum Quantitation (FSQ) algorithm for the multicomponent analysis (MCA) of complex mixtures offers considerable advantages over conventional MCA in UV-VIS spectrophotometry. FSQ provides an economical, sensitive, accurate, non-destructive alternative technique for the analysis of complex mixtures with severely overlapping spectra, FSQ indicates and deals with the presence of impurities, matrix effects and deviations from Bouguer-Lambert-Beer law and accounts for intermolecular interactions between components.
