Abstract

The article deals with the study regarding the quality indicators of the nanoporous structure in the ammonium nitrate, used as a component of the industrial explosive ANFO. The final drying stage of porous ammonium nitrate (PAN) is briefly described. The necessity to carry out the final drying stage in multistage devices is substantiated. A software product is presented that enables to evaluate the quality of the nanoporous surface in PAN granules. The morphology of the nanoporous surface in the PAN granules under different conditions of final drying is studied. The quality indicators of PAN granules are given. The obtained results can be used to construct the drying units for the PAN final drying stage, i.e., to calculate the main technological parameters of the drying unit and dryers’ constructive properties.
