Abstract

Objective To investigate application and effects of quality control circle in improving the acceptance of nurses to PDA. Methods Group of quality control circle was established to improve acceptance of nurses to in Elderly Cardiovascular Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University in July 2015. Current situation investigation was done and target value was set. It was reported that the main reason for the low acceptance of nurses to PDA included unstable wireless network, nurses' unfamiliar with the software, attitudes of nurses to partners, improving the efficiency of nursing work, inconvenience of carrying PDA. Countermeasures were designed for the main reason, organized and implemented. Results After the implementation of quality control circle, the acceptance rate of nurses to PDA increased from 69.8% to 93.45% which achieved the aim rate of 90.42%. Usefulness, ease of use and learn ability, rate of trust and satisfaction in the application of PDA in nurses were better than before the implementation. Conclusions Application of quality control circle improves the acceptance of nurses to PDA and provides evidences for further promoting the usage of mobile nursing information system.
