Application of quality control circle in the off-bed activities at the early stage after the funnel chest operation

Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of quality control circle(QCC) in improving the compliance of off-bed activities at the early stage after the funnel chest operation. Methods The quality control circle group was set up, with the theme of improving the compliance of off-bed activities at the early stage after the funnel chest .The relevant factors were analyzed and countermeasures were formulated and implemented as well.Standardized processes were set up on the basis of the combination of the confirmed effects and the clinical practices for the continuous improvement. Results The compliance of off-bed activities at the early stage after the funnel chest operation was improved from 13.3% to 56.7%(target value 53.5%)(P<0.05). In addition, constipation and complication was both improved to some extent after the implementation of quality control circle, the comprehensive scores of QC ability of the team rose from (19.50±4.116)to(2.42±4.158)(P<0.05). Conclusions The implementation of QCC improves the compliance of off-bed activities at the early stage after the funnel chest operation, reduces constipation and promotes the patients' rehabilitation.Meanwhile it improves the quality of nursing service, which not only enhances nursing quality and benefits in the construction of nursing team.
