Abstract
Water resources in Sukarame Village, Cisolok Subdistrict, Sukabumi Regency are not only used for fulfilling the daily needs but also for agricultural irrigation and mining activities. Sukarame has an Unlicensed Gold Mine (PETI) that dumps waste directly into the river, which can affect the quality of Sukarame Village’s water resources. Water quality monitoring is useful to prevent a decrease in the quality, water utilization that can interfere with quality, endanger health, as well as improve water quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality and utilization of water resources in Sukarame Village. The method used in this study was descriptive by taking 15 samples from 4 hamlets in Sukarame Village originating from surface water and groundwater. The water quality of the sample was tested for physical and chemical parameters of water. Water quality data then analyzed under Health Minister Regulation No.416/MEN.KES/PER/IX/2010 concerning Water Quality Requirements and Supervision. The measurement of water resources quality taken from groundwater and surface water sources in Sukarame Village varies, therefore the use of water resources is also different. Surface water resources of Sukarame Village cannot be used for daily needs because the turbidity is high, while groundwater resources included in clean water can be used for daily needs.
