Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to qualitatively analyze the reflective journals to evaluate the effectiveness of team-based learning (TBL) method in clinical hygiene subjects. Methods: This study was conducted by analyzing the reflective journal according to the qualitative research methodology based on ground theory. Results: The students’ overall comprehension was 4.46±0.78, which was a very high level of understanding. Students’ Reflective Journals promoted the effectiveness of TBL activities and improved learners desire, learning motivation, comprehension, and responsibility. Conclusions: Through qualitative analysis of the contents of the reflection journal in team-based activities, a paradigm could be derived and the educational implications of writing a reflection journal could be confirmed.
