Abstract
Modern education is characterized by the transition from the content-knowledge-subject paradigm to the personal-activity (competence-based) paradigm. One of the components of the competency-based approach is to determine the effectiveness of students' education based on the level assessment of their educational achievements. Qualimetric models are one of the tools for assessing the success of competency formation. Single universities of Ukraine, which train specialists in engineering specialties (power engineers, electrical engineers and electromechanics), have introduced valeological disciplines into their educational programs to meet the requirements of National educational standards. Since 2019, the valeological discipline “Health Pedagogy” has been taught at the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy. Qualimetry techniques were used to form a model of its teaching. The article describes the ways of constructing and the significance of applying factor-criteria competence models with a qualimetric assessment of learning outcomes in electrical and power engineering education on the example of this discipline. The results of studies of two groups of Ukrainian scientists (Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk) were compared, each of which has its own ideas about the ways in which students develop a healthy lifestyle. As a result of a comparative study, it was found that a model based on a factor-criteria standard is more suitable for the formation of valeological competence of students of engineering specialties in Ukraine. The use of qualimetry makes it possible to assess the success of students in matters of competence formation, to establish the minimum acceptable level of competence formation for electric power engineers, electrical engineers, electromechanics, engineers-pedagogues' students of educational levels “bachelor” and “master”. Possible approaches to the formation of curricula of valeological disciplines are shown.
