Qualified electronic signature: basic rules of use in the educational field

Abstract

The article describes the main functions of a qualified electronic signature (QES) and the rules of use in education. The principles of application of qualified electronic signature in electronic document management systems are considered. The peculiarities of the use of qualified electronic signatures in the field of education on the example of higher education institutions are analyzed. The importance of QES in the electronic document management system is emphasized, as it is used by individuals and legal entities for identification. Emphasis i s placed on the advantages of using a qualified electronic signature during educational activities and as an indispensable component of the final stage of the passage of documents in electronic document management systems.
 The issue of using a qualified electronic signature from a legal point of view has been clarified. What is important is the identification and authenticity of a qualified electronic signature, because unlike paper documents, an electronic document can easily be subject to various changes. To do this, it is important to control the authenticity of QES with the help of various services to verify the authenticity of a qualified electronic signature.
 Examples of obtaining QES in modern conditions using both online and offline methods are given. To receive an offline signature, you must contact one of the service providers in person.  The focus is on the efficiency and convenience of using QES during the establishment of the work process in the field of education.
