QUAKER RESEARCH IN PROGRESS Prepared by John and Barbara Curtis Amos Davidson, Westminster, MD, has been working for some time on a family history of the Quakei family of Elgar. A project involving English Quaker women in general in the 18th century , and Quaker women mimsters in particular, has been undertaken by Phyllis Mack, PhD, of the State University of New Jersey (Rutgers) She holds a T Wistar Brown Fellowship in Quaker Studies for die first semester , 1982-83, at Haverford College. Donald Kelley, Department of History at Villanova University, Villanova, PA 19085, is currently at work on a study of Quaker attitudes to natural science and to ecology m the 18th and early 19th centuries John Teahan, a member of the Religion Department at Wheaton College, Norton, MA 02766, is preparing a study of three types of American mystics of die 20th century.
